Rock A Bye Dead Man is a rock opera about a detective and a police officer who are summoned to an old dark house to investigate the murder of the commissioner. Soon after, they become entangled in a web of deceit among the guests, and are forced to confront the supernatural presence within the manor.

Rock A Bye Dead Man is a unique short-film project, with musicians and cast members from diverse, local Tacoma backgrounds such as: The Plastards, The Kim Archer Band, Taist of Iron, Human Zoo, Loser Dog, Prometheus, (Tacoma bands); Guys and Dolls, Brigadoon, Hello Dolly, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Les Vampyres: Thrice Bitten (Theater); the Hungry Bard Foundation (music production); and Streettimes (cinematography).

This project is a grass roots endeavor and carries a wealth of homegrown creativity and talent. Our final vision is to bring something unique to the screen, by shooting Rock A Bye Dead Man in a film noir style, combining elements of the classic whodunit movies, and cradling it all with original rock opera music.
